Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day and Happy Birthday to my youngest daughter Melinda!  I've been working on some new santas and thought I should maybe share them here along with a few of my old favorites.

Marge and I are debating doing a show in November so we need to start stockpiling santas and snowmen.

 Same santas mostly finished.  I still have to sign them and glitter the back sides with mica glitter.

We're thinking about putting some snowmen into mason jars and selling them like that.

Not sure if it will work or if they will sell.

Still thinking about this.  It seems like mason jars are big sellers this year.  

When I started taking snowmen and santa photos this afternoon, I asked my grandson where his snowman was and this is the one he brought for me.  Ahh that's the one I gave him, I wanted to show off the ones the boys made so after a bit of searching we found both their snowmen.  However my grandson insisted I had to take a photo of this one as well.  

These are the snowmen the boys created.  I am so impressed with both of them and how great they ended up.  My workroom took a bit to clean up but the guys had so much fun going through all my boxes of snowmen stuff and finishing these guys off.  

Dare to be Different is still on the workroom table.  Hopefully he will be finished soon!

Just because this is one of my favs.  I love his little blue hat with the cardinal and the bird house and bells.  He's just cute so he's getting his photo posted.

The Start of It All

I started working again at my santas, should have started earlier but...there's always a reason to postpone the start, but anyway I found one of my original old santas from way back in 1992.  That along with an older Uncle Sam were both in a box with some santas I have left over from last year 2012 vintage.

The santas have changed considerably.  

Worked a bit today finishing 6 snowmen that I have had started for several months now.  Have to finish them so I can start sculpting again.  

Now to finish the last 3 or 4.  

Oh and in the middle of all that, I found an ornament that Marge did last year and gave me for my tree so I thought I would share that as well.  The santa face is awesome.  I love how it's finished off with a dusting of glitter.  

More Snowmen and Some Early Santas

Woohoo!  Got an email from Marge with some of her snowmen attached.  Also I took a few new photos of my new found snowman this afternoon in my messy workroom.  I HAVE got to clean it up!!!

This little guy is melting.....so sad.  

This little guy is enjoying some wine.  Love it!

Here is one of Marge's scarecrows.  

This is my newly found snowman...he's on the worktable with multiple paint jars, glue, brushes and unfinished snowmen.  

It really is a mess down there.  I have lots to do...

....and I need to finish this guy.  Yes indeed it's a square snowman.

He will have a little sign that says Dare to be Different.

Snowmen for 2013
